Romania needs no words. Mysterious, cold, warm and full of treasures that Transylvania slowly reveals. Land of the bears, the old honey from the forests enjoyed by the Roman legions. Land of vampire myths, painful experiences with russian communism, teutonic blood erected in cathedrals and medieval fortresses. But this photo essay focuses on Phase I in Romania: Bran Castle, temporary military residence of the dreaded (and venerable) Vlad Tepes, “the Impaler” member of the Order of the Dragon (Dracul, which comes from latin Draco (“Dragon”) means “devil” in the current Romanian language) and Prince of Wallachia. I made a nice post about this castle, take a look here!
